MIRATEK NAMES ROBERT L. SUMRALL PRESIDENT/CEO
El Paso, Texas January 4, 2018 – MIRATEK, a leader in high technology information systems, business and engineering services in the federal and commercial sectors, announced the appointment of Mr. Robert (Bob) Sumrall as President/CEO.
Sumrall’s background in sales marketing, and management spans almost five decades. Large company experience includes Digital Equipment Corporation, Wang Laboratories and Data General Corporation. The focus in these companies was on his development of a technical background in information technology to include database and business process re-engineering.
His small company focus shifted toward better understanding the programs and processes of the Federal government. These companies included IDA Technology, Glacier Technology, Visual Innovations and MCSI. He refined concepts of working with large companies to leverage the strengths of both large and small to provide government customers with the best of both.
As the president and founder of Sumrall Associates, Sumrall provided a variety of companies, with expertise in numerous markets, with a roadmap to accessing government contracts and leveraging their specific corporate tool sets to meet the needs of government customers. His ability to analyze the resources of small organizations and apply their skills to specific government programs and to understand avenues for accessing those programs make a him a valuable asset in meeting the goals of their corporate plans.
Sumrall is highly experienced in working with diverse federal organizations, managing and supervising multi-disciplined teams, and overseeing support of DoD acquisitions. His strong background in technology and business development combined with an extensive understanding of the Federal and commercial marketplace enable him to manage broad based programs including operations, marketing, capture and proposal management.
MIRATEK NAMES GUILLERMO A BLACKER, EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT
Mr. Blacker is an accomplished executive with more than thirty years professional experience in major corporate environments, all engaged in the worldwide provision of technical consulting, engineering, program management and project delivery services to the government, natural resources, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
His broad engineering, and program management experience includes progressively increasing responsibilities encompassing project and systems engineering; global sourcing and contracting; project and operations management; corporate and business development; and general management with full P&L responsibility. Retired recently from TRAX International LLC (the Mission Support Services Contractor at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico), his professional career includes tenures with Fluor Corporation, Jacobs Engineering Group, Aker Kvaerner, and MinCorp Holdings where he held positions of progressively increasing responsibility in general management, global operations, project finance, program management and project delivery.
Blacker holds engineering degrees from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in, Lima, Perú, and completed graduate studies in management, business administration and economics at
Cranfield School of Management in Bedfordshire, England; Cornell University, Ithaca, New York; and the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
Blacker holds an active Secret Clearance.
